Five weeks into my Bachelor of Fine Arts at Queensland College of Arts, and loving it. It's really hard work, and a lot of hours, but boy am I learning some great stuff. At QCA, its not about learning how to paint, it's about learning how to think. Concept is everything, and boy am I on a steep academic learning curve!
I have the most amazing tutors, who are all accomplished artists in their own right. It would be marvellous to have a break this week, but lots of catching up to do to make sure I am ready for week 7- Assessment!
My subjects this semester are Painting, Jewellery and Small Objects, Graphic Interpretations (Drawing) and Modernism and Post-Modernism. I have put up a new gallery- "Studies at QCA" to show you a bit of what I am up to...... and I will try really hard to keep it updated!
