Thursday Art Class has begun for 2008 and I must say I'm terribly pleased to be back with all my lovely students. I really feel friendships in the arts are special- there is that great (dare I say obsessive?) interest binding us together. It was great to see the works many had created during the break, and great too that many including myself actually HAD a break. There was a moment when having decided I should probably be making an effort to remember which was the business end of a paintbrush, I started work- just a couple of days before the first class. Standing at the easel, I literally couldn't remember how to start! Thankfully it soon passed, but it's probably good for me to remember how scary creating art can be at times. Hey, if you're not biting off more than you can chew, you're living far too skinny.
